This Wednesday our family travelled up to Dahlonega to meet Cory and Tommy Jones, along with their two girls and Tommy's cousin, Matt, at Caruso's on the square to talk about the possibility of church planting in D'ga. Things are leaning heavily in the direction. He is the head football coach at the county high school, Matt is an assistant coach, and Cory teaches at a local elementary school.
Last night after soccer practice, Kristy and I met with Andrea and John Blount at Starbucks to catch up a bit and to discuss their fifth daughter's baptism (Bria), which I am doing at Perimeter on Sunday. In addition to the company, the white hot chocolates were really good, especially since it is getting nice and cool at night (in the 50s) with highs in the upper 70s.
Today I was home and enjoyed playing on the trampoline with Sarah Wynn.
We just got back from family night at Johnny's Pizza, and Schaeffer is about to go to a special soccer training session and I am off to a Friday night mission's conferece desert at East Lanier. I guess that means that family night is over. We plan to reconvene tomorrow for some family time watching SEC football. :0)
By the way, Schaeffer's soccer team made dramatic improvements last night, winning a scrimmage 5-1. Schaeffer scored two really nice goals, too. Way to go Rangers! The picture below is Sarah Wynn trying to get into the soccer spirit. She is even sporting real shin guards. :0)
