In yesterday's soccer game, Schaeffer scored his team's only goal, which lasted until mid-way through the second half, when the other team finally punched the ball in for the tie. Then, just before the final whistle (literally with 2 seconds to go in the game), an opposing player scored off of a really great kick that went through the defense and into the corner of the goal. Schaeffer also played goalie for about 1/3 of the game (see picture), trying to protect the 1-0 lead. He stopped all shots on goal and had a few really good feeds. He wasn't expecting to play in goal, but enjoyed wearing the yellow jersey for a while.
